O Laboratório de Inovação Tecnológica em Saúde (LAIS), da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), é um dos vencedores do Prêmio Health-IT na categoria CASES DE SUCESSO – Melhor aplicação em Telemedicina. É a primeira vez que um laboratório localizado em um hospital do Nordeste é premiado.
Para o coordenador do LAIS, professor Ricardo Valentim, receber uma premiação como esta mostra que o Laboratório está no caminho certo, desenvolvendo tecnologia, mudando a realidade e transformando os contextos do país. “Nós temos grandes projetos na área de tecnologia em saúde, como a Plataforma Nacional de Telediagnóstico, que têm possibilitado à população brasileira acesso a uma rede especializada de atendimento em saúde. Somente em 2018 foram mais de 20 mil atendimentos remotamente na área de cardiologia, espirometria e oftalmologia”, afirmou Valentim.
A premiação acontecerá no dia 29 de agosto, em São Paulo (SP), juntamente com o Fórum Health-IT, composto por palestras e debates com a temática voltada para a gestão e inovação em saúde.
